Tindal was formed in 1964 by some of the members of Chelmsford Round Table. It was felt that a town the size of Chelmsford was more than capable of supporting two Round Tables, a factor that remains true to this day.

Tindal and Chelmsford still have very close links meeting a numerous times throughout the year for social and fund raising events such as Fireworks.

We currently have 10 active members and a number of past members who still support Tindal be it at social events or for our fund raising work bringing our membership at any time up to approximately 15 people.

The motto of Round Table is to “Adopt, Adapt and Improve” and at Tindal we put this much more simply state that we want to meet new people, have new experiences, give something back and most importantly have fun whilst doing it. We want to be part of an organisation that is welcoming to everyone, no matter who you are or where your from and hopefully learn as much from them as they can from us.

To dispel some common myths we don’t have a secret handshake or bizarre and freaky initiation ceremonies. We Don’t dress up in silly outfits (unless it’s funny) or secretly run the world (as much as some of our members would like to think they do). We are quite simply a bunch of normal blokes from all walks of life who want to hang out with like minded people and have fun. Whilst we are having all our fun as a convenient by product a good sum of money is raised and donated to local charities.

If that sounds like your sort of thing and your aged between 18 and 45 then contact our membership officer and feel free to have a look at the Join Tindal Section of this site. It may be that your new to the area and want to meet some new people, you might be looking to give something back or simply looking for a laugh. All of these, among many others, are good reasons to come along to a meeting and see what it’s all about.

So coin another Round Table phrase “don’t just sit there”, contact us and come along to a meeting.
