Santa's Sleigh
Each year the members of Tindal operate a ‘Christmas Float’ to bring a little Christmas magic to our town to meet the good (and bad) children and adults alike.
Santa always finds time in his busy schedule to help us our by distributing sweets to the children and generally spreading a little of his own personal Christmas magic.
This is the second largest fund raising event held by Tindal after Fireworks and again all monies raised go to the local charities and causes we support throughout the year.
We try to start the Sleigh runs early on as many nights as possible to ensure that Santa gets to see as many children as he can before they go to sleep, we also try to limit how late we play the music on the sleigh making sure we do not disturb anyone unnecessary.
At Christmas you will also find our sleigh outside a local Supermarket where we ask the shoppers to buy a little extra to be distributed to those less fortunate than themselves at Christmas. We make the food up in to parcels and shortly before Christmas deliver them to ease the burden of Christmas and bring a little cheer. Last year (2006) we distributed over 30 parcels all thanks to the generosity of the people of Chelmsford.
